Introduction

Exile, Resilience & New Beginnings

Every journey into exile begins with a story left behind. Syrian Doc Days 2020 brought together documentaries that explored both the realities of life inside Syria and the challenges of building a new life abroad. Through feature films and short documentaries, the festival highlighted the resilience of Syrians across borders and the enduring connection between home, memory, and hope.
