In the wind

Waseem Safadi, Syria= Occupied Golan Hights 2024, 30min

The Israeli Energy company "Energix" is planning to build a giant wind turbines project to generate electricity in the occupied Golan Heights. The planned wind turbines, which will have a length of more than 180 meters per fan, will be distributed according to the Energix plan on the hills surrounding Majdal Shams, Masada, Baqaata and Ain Qinya where the wind blows throughout the year.
The people of the Golan (majority farmers) object to the construction of the project, because of the damage caused by the giant fans on their lives and agricultural land and the surrounding environment. Which led them to launch campaigns against the project and to organize campaigns to raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of the devastating impact on their health and environment and to educate some of the owners of land not to be dragged behind the temptations of the company and promises to them.
The conflict between Energix company and the people of the Golan villages who have come out to defend themselves, their environment, their land and the quality of their lives, which are threatened by the company plans, is the focus of the film "in the wind".
