Introduction

Women's Voices, Resilience & Hope

Syrian Doc Days 2021 celebrated the voices and perspectives of Syrian women, highlighting their essential role in documenting the Syrian experience through film. Featuring a programme in which half of the feature documentaries were directed by women, the festival explored stories of resilience, life under siege, exile, and the search for loved ones who remain missing. Through powerful screenings and conversations, Syrian Doc Days created a space where personal stories became a testament to courage, memory, and the enduring pursuit of justice and dignity.
